By accessing or using the StepQuests mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Service Description

StepQuests provides GPS-guided walking tours with interactive content. Our Service includes:

• Location-based tour guidance
• Interactive quizzes and information at points of interest
• Offline access to purchased tours
• Progress tracking and tour history

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To purchase and access tours, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.

4. Purchases and Payments

4.1 Tour Purchases

Tours are available for purchase as one-time purchases. Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store your payment information.

4.3 Refund Policy

Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's refund policies. Generally, purchases are non-refundable after 14 days or after you have started using the tour content. To request a refund:

• iOS users: Contact Apple Support or request through App Store
• Android users: Contact Google Play Support within 48 hours

For technical issues preventing tour use, contact us at support@stepquests.com and we will work to resolve the issue.

4.4 Restore Purchases

You can restore your purchases on any device using the same Apple ID or Google account. Use the "Restore Purchases" button in the app to access previously purchased tours.

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to circumvent purchase mechanisms
• Reverse engineer or decompile the app
• Use automated systems to access the Service
• Copy, redistribute, or resell tour content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

All content, including but not limited to text, images, audio, videos, tour routes, and quiz questions, is owned by StepQuests or licensed to us. Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the tour content for personal use only.

7. Safety and Liability

7.1 Location Accuracy

GPS and location services may not always be accurate. We are not responsible for:

• Navigation errors or inaccurate location data
• Physical hazards or obstacles on tour routes
• Changes to tour locations or accessibility
• Weather conditions or environmental factors

7.2 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STEPQUESTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR LOST PROFITS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Privacy and Data Use

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services:

• Mapbox: Map rendering and navigation
• Apple App Store / Google Play: Payment processing
• RevenueCat: Purchase management
• Amplitude: Analytics

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or performance.

10. Service Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time. We may also update tour content, pricing, or features without prior notice.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Required by law or regulation
• The Service is discontinued

Upon termination, you lose access to purchased tours, though refunds may not be available depending on the circumstances.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation
2. Mediation (if negotiation fails)
3. Arbitration or litigation in the Netherlands (as a last resort)
